VISION FOR THE FUTURE
My dream is to establish a state-of-the-art performing arts school and theater in the Dominican Republic—an international hub for dance, music, acting, and cultural exchange. This school will serve both the local community and visitors from around the world, offering world-class training while celebrating and preserving Dominican cultural heritage.
THE VISION
The school will be located near Samaná, Dominican Republic, an area rich in natural beauty and cultural vibrancy, yet underserved in large-scale arts infrastructure. While Santo Domingo already has several arts programs, Samaná offers the opportunity to create something unique—an institution that combines technical excellence with community engagement and tourism partnerships.
Programs & Training
The school will provide professional-level training in:
Ballet, Pointe, Horton, Graham, Modern, Jazz, Hip-Hop, and Vogue
Dominican and Latin dance forms such as Bachata, Merengue, and Salsa
Zumba and other fitness-based movement classes
Acting for stage and screen
Music education, including voice training and instrumental study in genres like salsa, bachata, and merengue
The Theater
A fully equipped performance space will serve as both a professional venue and a community stage—hosting student showcases, touring productions, and original works. It will be a home for rehearsals, performances, and artistic residencies for artists from the Dominican Republic, the United States, and beyond.
Community Impact
This school will not only train the next generation of artists but also:
Partner with local resorts to elevate performance quality and technical skill for entertainment staff
Offer public access to classes, workshops, and performances
Create jobs in the arts for local residents
Build a sustainable arts ecosystem in the region
Beach clean-ups and environmental efforts, like collecting plastic waste.
Volunteering in local community events or helping maintain school facilities.
This will create a cycle of giving — the community supports the school, and the school supports the community.
Cultural Exchange
An essential part of this vision is to establish international cultural exchange programs, creating opportunities for students, educators, and artists from around the globe to collaborate, train, and perform together.
An important part of my mission is accessibility. I would love to establish a scholarship program for students under the age of 14 who have a passion for the arts but cannot afford tuition. To honor and uplift the local community, the school will also include a work-study program, where students can give back through projects.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
While this dream is still in the planning stage, it is my hope to bring it to life with the support of donors, sponsors, and partners who share a belief in the power of the arts to transform communities. Contributions will directly support the development of the school, the construction of the theater, and the launch of educational programs for both local residents and international students.
